| Robert Huber graduated from the CEPV, School of Fine Art Photography in Vevey in 1995. His social-documentary work in color focuses on aspects of contemporary culture, group behavior and religion. He moved to New York in 1998 and worked on various stories in the USA for the next 6 years. Elvis & Presley", a collaboration with Belgian photographer Stephan Vanfleteren, was published in 2001. The series, picturing the two photographers traveling through the U.S. both disguised as Elvis Presley, won a World Press Award and was exhibited throughout Europe. After 9/11 Robert concentrated on documenting the American war effort. The work "51 Commemorative Objects from Ground Zero" was shown in New York and Zurich in 2002. In 2004, he moved from New York to Istanbul and started documenting various aspects of this emerging metropolis. He currently lives in Zurich with his wife and two daughters. |
